A few basic gestures... deliberately excluding indefinite states in between.

A man seated, a man risen, not rising, turning his head, putting on hat and gloves.

With the introduction of gloves, with the inclusion of the superfluous - such as gloves, the inevitable involuntary - voluntary intention or motivational gesture is engendered.

He no sooner puts on his gloves then he finds himself involved in the fitting, repetitive compulsive gestures of getting his gloves to fit perfectly to the very fingers of his hands.

Superfluousness sustained by virtue of frenetic building of tension.... only to return to the original stasis.
